The artwork portrays a classroom scene with a group of students having a free period, where they are engaged in different activities. I believe students truly enjoy these rare moments of white space, which usually occur when the teacher is on leave or when they have finished their assigned work for the lesson. It is my hope that this piece will be a conversation starter about the importance of students having pockets of time for self-exploration.
